Originally from Oklahoma, Heather Joy currently lives and works as a librarian in Zürich, Switzerland. She is the second of  seven children and has been coming to terms with her fundamentalist childhood since leaving home at the age of eighteen. Heather’s photos investigate the fluidity of reality, the self and self-perception. She’s always looking for portals, or escape routes that lead to alternate worlds or ways of living. Find more of her work at www.instagram.com/mockinglybird.
