Kateri is the oldest daughter in quiverful, homeschooling family that practiced Christian Patriarchy. She now works full time as an RN, and with her husband tends a small farm in rural Michigan where she weaves baskets and grows heirloom garlic for sale. She believes in a God of freedom and hope and finds joy daily the small beautiful things that come her way.

Handwoven Basket

HANDWOVEN BASKET MADE FROM DUTCH IRIS LEAVES AND WILD WILLOW WOVEN AROUND A SINGLE TWISTED HONEYSUCKLE BRANCH FRAME.

Kateri balances a busy career as a home care nurse with tending her small organic farm in Michigan. She was homeschooled in a controlling, conservative Christian family, which she left when she was 26. She marvels daily at the the freedom she found when she embraced a God of love, instead of a God of rules. This basket and others are for sale at Tangled Basket Farm.

Bunny California was born and raised in San Francisco. Between attending a Lutheran middle school, and a Jesuit university, she went to a hellish funny fundamentalist high school. She now participates in local art shows and volunteers at the zoo.
